Explore the Legendary Samaria Gorge
Discover one of Crete’s most breathtaking natural wonders during the Samaria Gorge Tour. Starting at Xyloskalo, near the village of Omalos, the trail descends into the Samaria National Park — an area of spectacular beauty and ecological importance.
Gorge length: 13 km through the National Park
Total hike distance: 16 km (includes 3 km from the gorge exit to Agia Roumeli)
Entrance Fee: €5 (Free for children under 15, half-price for students)
Once in Agia Roumeli, you’ll take a ferry to Hora Sfakion or Paleochora, where your driver will be waiting to return you to your accommodation.
